On March 26 and 27, 2022, the Arizona Dragon Boat Association extended a warm welcome to teams from all over the world to the 17th Annual Dragon Boat Festival! 

Our annual festival was cancelled during 2021 due to Covid, and the Gilas were excited to see many teams return to the beautiful Tempe Town Lake this year. 

This festival offered 10 divisions: Mixed, Women, Open, Collegiate, Corporate, Masters, Breast Cancer Survivors, Adaptive or Disabled Athletes, Youth, and  High School.  Races also included the “Guts & Glory” and “Knock Out” races.

Members of the Gila Dragons enjoyed participating in multiple divisions plus the Guts & Glory race wrapping up the festival.

Many thanks to AZDBA members and Gila volunteers that helped organize the setup of the festival, running the festival all weekend, and cleaning up the lake area after the festivities were over.
